Cygames and Arc System Works announced that online features for Granblue Fantasy: Versus (the 2020 fighting game) will be scaled back starting April 20, 2026. From that date, many online functions will be removed or limited as the game enters a maintenance-style state due to declining usage.

What will stay available:

- Offline and limited online play: RPG Mode (solo), Versus, Arcade, Training, Mission Training, and Room Matches.

- Players can still create/search rooms and play with others, but rank changes, replay saves, and viewing other players’ profiles won’t work.

- Journal features like Gallery and Glossary, as well as basic menu options, remain accessible.

Features being removed:

- Ranked Matches (which will simply show as Casual Match in the menu)

- Online Lobby and Rankings

- Replay uploading/downloading

- Editing player profile

- In-game messages will largely show maintenance text.
